“BBrazil was founded with a dream of creating an exciting active wear brand that makes women feel beautiful and empowered while wearing our high-quality designs.”

Liz Nisenson

My name is Liz Nisenson and I am the owner and founder of BBrazil. I grew up in Brazil and worked as a literature teacher before deciding at the young age of 26, that I wanted to move to the United States. During my time in the US, I fell in love with a man named Josh, decided to stay, am now married, live in the Bay Area and have two beautiful sons.

As a Brazilian mom living in the US, I dreamt of a career that would allow me to work from home while still pursuing my creativity, love for fashion and passion for my Brazilian culture. Brazilians are known for their love of vibrant colors, dancing and embracing the beauty of a woman’s curves – which is why we design our active wear to be colorful, comfortable and to perfectly hug a woman’s body. So, I named my company, BBrazil because I want my customers to be enriched by my culture and experience what it’s like to “Be” Brazil!

What we feel makes us unique is our approach. Our core focus is to figure out a way to make high-quality, stylish active wear that makes women look and feel great. We literally spent months looking all over Brazil for the best fabrics possible and are so proud that all our designs are handcrafted, surpassing all others.

What really sets us apart is our passion to design all our active wear with versatility as a top priority. Clothing is expensive, so we wanted to make sure that our customers benefit from being able to use the same pair of leggings or capris for a workout, a cute casual outfit or to dress up for a night out. Our customers love us for this reason, because you can get so much more out of one piece of clothing.

Although a very proud US citizen, I still have a deep love for my Brazilian culture. Unique to the brand, BBrazil apparel is all individually sewn by seamstresses living in Brazil. Of course, there has always been the option to manufacture in China for drastically less costs, however, it’s more important to us to be able to provide jobs for people in Brazil and to create great work environments and conditions for those working with us.
